There are days when you and your painting are just in the zone....the painting takes your hand and leads you to conclusion. Love being in that zone when all is right with the world and you can hear "the whispers". My painting "Sitting on the Dock of the Bay" was like that...took a month...refining...absorbing and then shazam it was done...just let it seat on the easel for a couple of weeks...keep your eye on it...have a couple of art buddies critique and they did...well this painting is one of the FINALISTS IN THE INTERNATIONAL ARTIST MAGAZINE ABSTRACT/MIXED MEDIA COMPETITION. I will have a full page spread in the August September Issue. Huge thrill, huge honor, a lot of hard work rewarded. Satisfying feeling to say the least. Let's be honest my feet haven't touched the ground since receiving that email that began CONGRATULATIONS...your heart just kinda stope while you read and reread the email.
